Apollo has welcomed many different people, to him strangers, into our home. For the first time this week a non-family member stayed for a few days. We were so proud of him, he was absolutely marvelous. Our guest on arrival was nervous of German Shepherds, but Apollo soon won him around and they parted the best of friends. He is a real credit to Hugo and Zee Zee xx

Hi Katrina

She has become a terrible thief though and she is very good at it. As I
have been typing this a nose appeared around the door and quietly took
my glove off the radiator! She stole paint brushes from the painter (who fortunately adores her) and skirting board from the chap who was
fixing our bathroom! I've given up on my slippers which constantly
vanish into the garden. Mostly she doesn't chew them but a few of
Chloe's barbies have bitten the dust. But we forgive her as she gives
us such wonderful greetings when we come home.

Over the holiday she has been out for lots of lovely walks with various
friends and their dogs. She loves the company of other dogs and gets on
well with them. She could probably be more obedient but I never seem to
have quite enough time! However she behaves well on the lead when out
in busy places. Although she loves water she is not the bravest when
faced with deep water and will stand on the edge barking if any of her
friends venture out further into the river or sea!!

Anyway, just to say thank you so much for letting us have her. She is
my constant companion and excellent company I don't think any of us can
imagine the house without her. Hope fully we will be heading your way
in July as I have friends in Langport so maybe we can arrange to pop in
and see you nearer the time.

Very best wishes

Liz and Bea xx

Hi Katrina

Thanks for Bea's birthday wishes! She had a bone to celebrate this morning and Chloe made her a card! Thank you for letting us have her as she is a lovely dog and an important member of the family. She is very sweet natured and loves to greet us all as we come home. Travelling by car is fine now as long as I don't feed her before going anywhere, otherwise she still has a tendency to throw up!!

Our fields are not too bad we kept the grass long so it is not too

muddy. But Bea loves to go in the stream at any opportunity and thinks that being washed off with the hose is a huge game. She also loves her home comforts and plonks herself on the sofa with the children quite happily.

Although she loves everyone she is really my dog and tends to come and sit by my feet wherever I am working unless the children are playing specifically with her. I can't believe she is a year already, that little puppy seemed to vanish quite swiftly! I will endeavour to keep sending photos and I do hope that over the summer we can make a visit over to you and catch up with you and your lovely dogs.

Best wishes

July 2013

Hi Katrina,

Just thought you would like to see Otto at 16 weeks, he is in his yard and about
to do a little weeding! We are off to The Lewes and district dog training course
this evening where he will make a complete monkey of me! Actually he is very
obedient for his age, we are having so much fun with him, he has a wonderfully
calm temperament and I think growing up at the right pace now just over 17 KG,
he is adorable.

Do hope all is well with you,

lots of love Otto, Sarah and William x x

Hi Katrina,

Otto passed his exams last week! He is now the proud owner of a Bronze award.
We are having such fun with him, such a well bred young man!

Lovely to see your next litter it makes me feel quite broody! But, couldn't
possibly manage another at present!!

Love from Sarah, William and Otto x x x

Summer 2014

Hi Katrina,

Just a few snaps of my handsome boy who now weighs in at 37 KG. Unfortunately
there was a smudge on the lens but these should give an idea of how he is now.
We are so pleased with him he is a joy and example to us all, living every
minute as if it was his last! I find it difficult to get good photos as he is so
fast usually in hot pursuit of something wild hence the last picture could only
get the tail!!  Believe it or not he is actually becoming very obedient, mostly.

I have been following the development of Hugo and Zee Zee's latest litter,
adorable.

Chrisanne and Steve very much enjoyed meeting you and are looking forward to a
new puppy which will have a fantastic home.

We hope to come and see you, most likely in the Autumn if its convenient.

Do hope all is well.....

lots of love Otto Sarah and William x x x

Ps will try and get better photos!

Hi Katrina

Photos as promised.  As you can see she is very helpful!!!!!! (Dishwasher 7wks, watering can 9wks, scamping in the garden 8wks, tug of war with Paddy 10 wks and waiting patiently for her dinner 11wks)..

Rita weighs 11 kgs and at the moment seems to be all legs.  As of today both ears are nearly up, she is sleeping through the night and the play biting is much reduced.  She and Paddy are getting on much better especially now that she has stopped trying to pierce his ears!

All in all Rita has settled in well, is great fun, learning fast and I am absolutely delighted with her.

I hope you are well and that your like the photos.  Will speak after our holiday.

April 2014

Hello Katrina

I thought you might like a few photo's and an update about Rita.  She is nearly 15 months already!  Where did that little puppy that fell out the cat-flap go?!  Needless to say she is still very inquisitive, lively and mischievous which is great fun and often very amusing.

Rita is also very calm and laid back - everybody's friend in fact.  She will happily play with any dog and she especially likes puppies.  In all this time I've never heard her growl or get
narkey about anything.  She is a quiet girl - hardly barks at all. But what she does do is sit and watch very intently, which can be quite disconcerting but very useful when you have unwanted people at the front door.

Over the last few months she has enjoyed Puppy Agility and Ringcraft.  We are now concentrating on obedience..........but this will take some time as she is a fidget and would much prefer to play!  I am happy for Rita to be a "puppy" for as long as she likes so this will take considerable time and patience.  On a daily basis she has great fun running about in the nearby fields with Paddy Paws (my Springer).  She follows him everywhere and is still to learn that trying to bring him back by the scruff of his neck is not really appreciated.

Katrina I really must thank you letting me have such a lovely well bred dog.  As well as being absolutely gorgeous, she is wonderful and I am very proud to be her owner.  I take her everywhere and get lots of positive comments about her.   I hope you are pleased with her too.

See you soon

Hi Katrina
Last Friday evening Kalli achieved the Bronze Good Citizen Award!
She was the youngest there & did us all proud - pictures to follow in due course.

Love from all of us.

Hi Katrina,

How are you? Wondering what to do with yourself now the pups have gone (ha! ha!)?
They are so gorgeous & will, hopefully, bring their owners a lot of joy.

Kalli continues to be the best(!) of ZeeZee's litter. As you can see from the picture she smiles beautifully for the camera!

Tomorrow we're taking her to the puppy agility session where her training classes are. I'm sure she'll have a good time. At classes before we have done bits of agility & she's great at going through tunnels, walking the plank etc., but the weave poles were rather more challenging! The jumps are kept low because of the impact on the legs but she's great at those too & different surfaces don't faze her either.

I have to say she's starting to push the boundaries a bit now - I guess we're hitting those teenage months. At training on Thursday during the 2 minute down stay (which she is usually VERY GOOD at) she decided 30 seconds into the exercise it would be far more fun to play with the dog next to her & promptly tried to jump on it - aagh! You know that feeling when you really wish the ground would open up & swallow you????????????! It was one of those moments.

Take care & hopefully we'll speak soon

Hello Katrina

I have just been reading the lovely letters that Milo's brothers n sisters parents have sent to you in their first year . Biased as I am , Milo has been

such a blessing for me and Diane, he has changed our life's and we've had so much fun with him and have met a whole new circle of doggie people out and about, who all love him, once they realise he's friendly!!!!! We have not seen any aggression from Milo in all this time.

Gutted that I have missed Milo's first birthday, as I am working in the UK, but will be home Friday to see my boy.

We've made great progress with our 2 cats. Milo just wants to lick them to death, they seem to enjoy this but then there comes a time , after about 10 minutes ,when they've had enough and then leave the room via the baby gate flap.

He enjoys our walks either on the beach, sand dunes or country lanes and I am more inclined to let him off lead than Diane, he loves exploring and whenever we are out with him we are training, even if it's just sit and stay.

Thanks once again for breeding such great dogs and i am sure we will be over in the UK in our new dog van this year.

Did I say that we ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIM, well I just did.

Lots of love and best wishes and thanks for Milo

Hi Katrina,

Firstly apologies, I had meant to update you before now but not quite sure where time has gone to! I hope all is well with you.

Gunner has settled well and making good progress. He loves people coming to the house and if any one talks to him he thinks they need their faces washed, so everyone is now asked not to pay any attention to him! I have started him at a training class for dogs with socialisation problems and he treated us all to the GSD yappy howl throughout.....just as well I have a good stock of headache pills. I hoped the second week he would be better but there was another talkative GSD so the two of them joined forces! Any tips would be really gratefully received to break the habit. He is very willing and quick to learn and now knows that if he gets too excited when we are getting ready to go out I stop until he quietens down. I was brave enough to let him off the lead a few days ago, but a peasant took his interest more than I did so I am only letting him off in the farms vineyard now as it is totally secure. Unfortunately we took a step backwards when I opened the front door as a friend was riding past on her horse. Like lightening he was out of the door and the gate and went to say 'hello'. Thankfully, Yvonne was very understanding and no harm was done, but I have to say my heart was racing for some time after, so I have contacted a local dog trainer to arrange some one to one sessions......I think it will take a while and a lot of patience but we will get there! Thankfully he is a very happy boy with a superb character, he just needs to get used to things that he should not bat an eyelid at outside the house.

Promise I won't leave it so long before the next update!
Jayne x

Gunner was rehomed at 10 months of age due to his owners illness and unfortunately he had not received much early training or socialisation.
