2) Progeny not to be Registered. May be lifted by the Breeder if requested (at the Breeders discretion only), after receipt of a Hip Score of less than 19 total (with a score of no greater than 12 on one hip), an Elbow Score of 0:1, 1:0 or 0:0, clear DNA tests as requested by the breeder and provided that the dog has a good temperament, is a good example of the breed and is free from any health issues or hereditary defects. Males require a Haemophilia Clear certificate. The Breeder must be satisfied that the Purchaser has the knowledge and facilities to rear a litter and provide after sales help in the case of breeding from a bitch.
The puppy described above has had a satisfactory health check by my Veterinary Surgeon on -------. The puppy is believed to be in good health and is sold in good faith. The breeder makes no warranty however as to the health or disposition of the dog. The purchaser is advised to take him/her to a Veterinary Surgeon of their choice and at their own cost for a complete examination within 7 days of purchase. If any fault or defect (other than described below) is found at this examination, the Breeder undertakes to refund the purchase price of the puppy in full, provided that he/she is returned immediately and that the Purchaser forgo all rights of ownership.
The Purchaser hereby acknowledges that the Breeder has disclosed the following faults or defects in the puppy----------. The puppy is sold with 4 weeks free insurance and the Purchaser is strongly advised to continue to insure the puppy, as the Breeder cannot be held responsible for any illness or condition that the puppy may develop after purchase.
The Breeder has endeavoured to breed a puppy with a sound temperament and physique. It is, however, a growing animal and will be subject to change for a variety of reasons, which are both hereditary and environmental. Every effort has been made to avoid possible inherited conditions, which in this breed are Hip Dysplasia, Elbow Dysplasia, Degenerative Myelopathy and Haemophilia A (males). Relevant, existing screening schemes have been used and copies of relevant results have been provided. If the puppy develops an inherited physical defect, to such a degree that, on the advice of the Purchaser's Veterinary Surgeon and confirmed by a Veterinary Surgeon of the Breeder's choice, the puppy has to be put to sleep before the age of 12 months, the Breeder will either replace the puppy or refund the purchase price, provided that the puppy has been reared in accordance with the Breeder's advice and written instructions.
No undertakings are given or implied as to the Show/ Working/ Breeding Potential of this puppy.
i) The Purchaser agrees that regarding the procedure of neutering the dog or bitch, the Purchaser agrees to wait until the dog is 14-18 months when he is physically mature or, in the case of a bitch, after she has had a minimum of one season and preferably TWO seasons, unless there is a medical reason which would detriment the animal by delaying it.
ii) The purchaser agrees that if, at any stage in the Dogs life, the Purchaser has to part with the dog for any reason; the Breeder will be the first to be informed and the Purchaser will, if so requested, return the Dog to the Breeder. The Breeder will offer every reasonable assistance to find the Dog a new home. Any proceeds from the re-homing may be passed to the Purchaser, less expenses (which generally includes feeding, boarding, veterinary fees, administration and any required rehabilitation or training). It should be noted that unless there are exceptional circumstances, the value of the Dog will dramatically decrease with age. Written permission must be obtained from the Breeder in the event of any transfer of ownership from the Purchaser named above.
DECLARATION BY PURCHASER:
I/we confirm that I have read and had a full explanation of all the detail and meaning of this contract prior to purchase and fully understand its purpose and reason. I/we agree to abide by the terms in this contract and provide the dog with a happy loving home and to take full responsibility for the welfare of the dog. I/we also confirm that I/we are purchasing this dog for myself/ourselves and not as agents for a third party. I/we confirm to have taken particular note of paragraph ii) written in bold print and understand that I/we will be in breach of contract should this dog be given or sold to any third party without the consent of the Breeder, which may result in legal proceedings against me/us.
