Hi Katrina

I hope you are keeping well.

We have had the most amazing moment last Sunday. We took Mina to Kenwood park and there is a very large area where dogs can be off leash and whilst she has been off leash before, never in such a large environment.

There were lots of dogs and she ran with some of them but the brilliant part was she came back (admittedly not straight away) but we just kept calm and kept walking and she got used to getting a treat when she did come back to us..it was one of those amazing moments!!!

Mina is turning into the perfect dog and if there is one thing I have to kick myself about it is to do with stairs..she is fine going up three steps but anymore then that she freezes. I think this has come about us worrying about her going up and down stairs while she is young so she didn't. We will work on this with her of course.

Take care

Danny x

Hi Katrina,

Everything is going great thanks! Jess is still sleeping in our room in the crate and gets a little upset when she's by herself in the pen but we are gradually increasing the time she is left alone and she is improving.

We have mastered 'sit' and 'paw' already but 'no' and 'down' are going to take a while I think! She met Max the cocker today and they hit it off really well so we are hoping she'll sleep well tonight. I guess we'll try and move her downstairs for the night soon too so that will be interesting!

We are really enjoying her company and it is clear she has been well reared thus far as she is fearless and has no hang ups at all, thanks again for that! The socialization continues!

I took some really nice pictures and will forward them to you as soon as I get on my PC and we will keep you up to date.

Hope you are enjoying the quiet(er) household!

Hi Katrina

hope you are well, and not had the worst of the floods. I have attached a few photo's of Eddie he has really settled in well, and is areal delight to live with and own. All his puppy teeth have now come out and the adult teeth are all through and getting bigger by the day, Scarlet has kept as many as she could find of Eddie's puppy teeth not sure why?? Hopefully we are all going to start getting drier/ better weather and with the light nights we can all enjoy an evening stroll together instead of just the weekends. Eddie is a real credit to you he has a great temperament with other dogs and people alike, and is very enthusiastic in everything we do with whether it is training or just walking through the county park together, he also travels extremely well and enjoys the company of our family also Eddie and Scarlet are starting to forge a really close bond which will no doubt blossom with the warmer days to come when playing outside together is more fun with paddling pools, footballs, sprinklers etc Kind regards The Ward's

Hi Katrina, Eddie had his 1st vaccination on Saturday with no problems. He is now 10Kg in weight and double in size!! He loves the great outdoors, chasing leaves on the local park a particular favourite. Its only been 3 weeks and he's settled so quickly and makes us all laugh on a daily basis. I would not say he is fully house trained but we have only had a few small wee's in the house since his arrival home and he sleeps very well at night. We still get up in the night to let him out which seems to works very well. Eddie is particularly vocal when wanting to play or just being mischievous, chewing is his favourite hobby. We have been taking him out with us, shopping and other various establishments and he is very good with all the stranger's who approach. They all comment on his good looks. I think he's under the impression everyone walks round with dog treats in their pockets but we hand them out (don't tell Eddie!!). He knows his name and is getting good at his commands, sit, wait, lie down, stand, and recall. He's quite happy to wander in and out his crate which makes it a lot easier when we need to leave him. He also travels very well in the car. All in all his is a joy to have and a fantastic addition to the family. Thank you The Wards

Hi Katrina A happy Christmas and prosperous new year, Eddie is a real credit to you with a great temperament and is always willing student when training. He has started to put his large paws to good use with some early season gardening on the rear lawn unfortunately this being slap bag in the middle we are not sure what he has planned. As an escape tunnel this could have been a lot simpler dug closer to the boundary, nether the less he is making good progress. He is an absolute pleasure and none of us would now be with out him, he is always very good in social situation whether in the company of other dogs or definitely a dog to proud of, and we always get comments of how handsome he is. Kind regards, Steve, Louise and Scarlet

Hello Katrina Just thought I would send you a couple of photos of our "handsome" Ozzie. He has settled in very well now. Still having a bit of a problem with the biting but we are working hard at it and he is showing signs of getting better although it is slow. I am sure we will get there in the end! He seems to be growing so fast and is getting very big. He went in his crate from day one and apart from the first two nights of crying have had no problems with him. Even when we get up in the morning he waits to be let out and makes no fuss. He loves going in the car and makes no noise at all. Walking on the lead very well now. Hope to start training school in the next couple of weeks. The cat is still a problem (but she is 22 and very stuck in her ways). He can't understand why she doesn't want to play! I am sure it will get better with time. I have sent a picture of him meeting the tortoise when he first arrived. He couldn't understand where her head and legs kept going when he licked her! She is in hibernation now so he wont be seeing her until next March now. Will send more pictures as he grows. Hope you are keeping well and all the dogs are well.

Hi Katrina,

Happy new year, hope you had a good Christmas.

Just an update on how Hugo is getting on.

He has come through puppy school and passed with flying colours, he starts his bronze training on the 19th of January, as you can see in the pictures he is very proud of his certificate and rosette. He loves to go on walks through the woods at the back of our garden and mix with other dogs, He has made friends with lots of our neighbours when out walking and they all say what a handsome dog he is, it is quite amusing watching people slow down in their cars to have a good look at him.

we will keep you updated on the next training course.

Regards Jill Stephen and James
